I wonder how much companies like Target waste on advertising products they do not offer? It may generate traffic to your site, but you are not building any customer loyalty through this tactic.

eBay have got to be the worst offenders in this category! We've seen ads where eBay claims to have Universities, public schools and local councils for sale on eBay!

This is interesting. I just posted yesterday about two PPC ads I saw (one of them was by Target) that were as bad as your example.

The ad in question is for the keyword "Snow Salt" but the ad copy says "Online Bose electronics at Target.com"
